Spring Bulbs Galore

Mary Smith and two stoical friends, Fiona and Nonn, planted 400 bulbs in the driveway to Pensford Field yesterday - it was very cold but luckily the ground was not as hard as today. The bulbs were donated by the Metropolitan Public Gardens Association with their partners Taylors of Spalding. We only got the bulbs delivered recently but they had to be planted before Xmas so it was a race against time. We had to take pot luck but we had a mix of hyacinths, yellow and purple crocus, tulips, allium, ornithogalum and narcissi. Just need to wait for the spring now.
