Lord Darroch of Kew becomes our Patron

Friends’ Tea Party September 2023 with Lord Darroch

Lord Darroch of Kew, local resident and former UK National Security Adviser and Ambassador to the United States, has agreed to become our patron. He came to our Friends’ tea party in September 23 and delighted us all with highlights from his career. The Trustees are even more delighted to welcome him as our Patron at a time when the environment has never been more under threat.

Lord Darroch , on becoming our Patron, said:

“It is with great pleasure that I support this haven for wildlife in the heart of Kew and hope that I can help preserve this magical place for future generations. Pensford Field has been nurtured for 30 years by local volunteers and schoolchildren and with local support, that can continue for the next three decades or more.”

We all second that! From a bit of a wasteland in 1992 to the beautiful field it is today. See the transformation in photos below.
