Pensford Field Newsletter Feb 2010
Workday in the field on Saturday 13th March 10 – 12. Everyone welcome to come and give a hand (or just spur on the others!)
The gates will be open for a good look around to see our new woodland work and all the new trees (funded by the Mayor of London and the Forestry Commission) We hope to have got rid of the Virginia creeper !
The pond seems to have recovered but we will confirm this once the summer comes.
We are very pleased with the response to the star gazing article by Roy Singham, he said he would continue with the next episode when the orbit moves round a bit. See the website for this. Thank you Roy.
The committee have formed a team to challenge the neighbourhood at the Rotary Club’s very popular quiz on Friday 12th March. The Rotary Club of Kew Gardens have sent a huge number of ‘shelter boxes’ to help the earthquake disaster in Haiti. They are also doing a Riverside Ramble on Saturday 17th April. For more details go to ramble@kewrotary.org.uk
